Chazai Wamba An Independent Law Firm based in Douala - Cameroon

Announcement

Chazai & Partners becomes Chazai Wamba!

PRESS RELEASE

Five years after its foundation, Chazai & Partners becomes Chazai Wamba. This change of name and visual identity reflects the Firm’s historical origins and its ambitions for the future.

Chazai & Partners, a pan-African business law firm based in Cameroon, Gabon and France, announces its name change to Chazai Wamba.

Since its foundation in 2017, the Firm has quickly established itself as a key actor on the market by being active in all areas of business law, including corporate law and M&A, private equity, banking and finance, public business law, oil and gas, insurance, and litigation and arbitration.

The Firm has been involved in a number of high-profile transactions, including the State of Cameroon’s recent Eurobond.

Ranked among the best law firms on the continent by some of the most prestigious legal directories in the world (Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR1000), the Firm has recently launched its African and global expansion with its first sub-regional office in Gabon.

By becoming Chazai Wamba, the Firm pays tribute to its historical origins and marks a new stage in its evolution.

“First, we wanted to remind the public that our Firm was founded by two female lawyers who have had the most prestigious international careers, and decided to put these experiences to good use by offering legal services of the highest standards directly on the African continent. We also wish to symbolise a revival for our Firm and signal a new stage in the fulfilment of our growth ambitions, not only on the African market, but also on the global market”, says Aurélie Chazai, Managing Partner.

This name change comes along a change of visual identity, and a complete overhaul of the Firm’s website and social media presence.

In writing this new page of its history, Chazai Wamba intends to uphold its philosophy and its values of excellence, integrity, pragmatism and team spirit, while maintaining its position as a market leader.

« We are now a solidly established Firm and our goals for the future are clear. We felt the time was right to reinvent ourselves while preserving the core values that continue to make us successful, and our internal stability, which is particularly commended by our clients”, concludes Flora Wamba, Partner.
